The conference is organized by an international committee of scholars, philosophical practitioners, and academic collaborators dedicated to ensuring the scientific quality, organization, and successful realization of the 18th International Conference on Philosophical Practice (ICPP 2025) in Zagreb, Croatia. The committee oversees the academic program, keynote coordination, conference sessions, and interdisciplinary collaboration among global participants in the fields of philosophical practice, bioethics, psychotherapy, and applied philosophy.
Luka Janeš (Conference Chair), along with members of the Croatian Philosophical Practice Association, Amigdala Centre, and collaborating academic institutions affiliated with the University of Zagreb, form the Conference Organizing Committee of ICPP 2025. The committee is responsible for the coordination of the conference program, logistics, participant communication, and the overall organization of the 18th International Conference on Philosophical Practice in Zagreb, Croatia.
The main objective of the International Conference on Philosophical Practice (ICPP 2025) is to promote the development of philosophy as a living and dialogical practice grounded in interdisciplinary collaboration, critical reflection, and philosophical counseling. Rather than emphasizing a solitary and purely theoretical model of philosophizing, the conference supports co-philosophizing as a communicative and practical activity, where philosophical inquiry emerges through dialogue, shared reflection, and intellectual companionship among practitioners, scholars, and participants.
Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, provides a rich academic and cultural environment for international philosophical dialogue and exchange. As a historic European city with a strong intellectual tradition and diverse academic institutions, Zagreb offers an ideal setting for interdisciplinary discussions in philosophical practice, bioethics, psychotherapy, and applied philosophy. The conference encourages intercultural dialogue, collaborative learning, and the advancement of philosophical practice in contemporary global contexts.
