Young E. Rhee received a Ph.D. in philosophy of science from the University of New York at Binghamton, USA, and in March of 2020, he moved from Kangwon National University to the department of philosophy at Korea University in Seoul.
He was the organizer of the 11st International Conference on Philosophical Practice. He is president of Korean Association of Philosophical Counseling and of the Korean Society of Humanities Therapy. He was editor of Humanities Therapy and now editor-in-chief of Philosophical Practice and Counseling.
The 11th ICPP was hosted by Kangwon National University in Chuncheon, South Korea, in conjunction with the 4th International Conference on Humanities Therapy. This was the first ICPP held in Asia. It was well-attended and well-organized. In addition to a full slate of lectures and workshops conducted by practitioners from around the world, the conference also introduced special Korean cultural events for participants, such as calligraphy and a tea ceremony, which were greatly appreciated. The full proceedings of the conference were published, in two volumes, by the Humanities Institute of Kangwon National University.
